My dream

Everyone has a dream, and mine is pretty simple actually. I don't dream of being rich, or getting married I dream of having a place in the country, fields filled with spotted horses, and just enjoying life. It may not seem like a lot to most people but to me it has been my dream for 20 years.
I would rescue as many as I could and just let them live out their remaining days knowing that they will never have to worry about where and when the next meal would come. I think that we should give them the same love and devotion they have given humans for so may years.
I would have a beautiful home, barns filled with hay, and fields filled with my beloved spotted horse. My house would have a deck overlooking my pastures my bedroom would too I would want my horses to be the first thing I would see in the morning. Like I said it's not much but thats my dream.

Horse Rescue

I have been thinking about starting a horse rescue for Appaloosas, cause sad to say there is a big need. I go the horse sales and see many Appaloosas there an a lot of them leave with a one-way ticket. The horse I love so much is not so popular in my area and it saddens me. My only problem is everything, the only thing I have is a major love for the breed and I am very knowledgeable about horses oh and plenty of time to devote to it. Now all I need is everything else lol... I have no land, no money and not a clue as to where to start. So if there is anyone out there who can help me out in any way shape or form please let me know. If all of us unite we can make this happen. Lets save our friends and give them a place o live out there days or get help finding a forever home what ever the horse needs think of all the loyality and happiness they give us. I know my horses make me smile and love me as much as I love them.

Brushy Creek

Took my horse to Brushy Creek today with a friend we had so much fun. It was a beautiful day for a ride.( Even though we got lost). It was so nice to get out there since it has been 2 years since the last time I was able to get my horse out there. She did so good considiring it has been 2 months since I rode her last. It is nice to get out there and just get away from everything and spend time woth your best friends. To quote a shirt I seen some times you have to get lost to find yourself, how true is that sometimes. Well until next time Happy trails.

Well I have decided to start getting stuff together to show my girl in heritage classes. I have never shown a horse before so if any one has any information or advice please share it. Also I am wanting to get some people together to go trail riding with. I have been camping at Brushy Creek a couple times this year and it is so nice I would love to get together with some other Appy people and just ride and enjoy our horses. I talked to a few people and they rolled there eyes when I told them what breed my horse is they have a Appy cross and all the gentleman said is you want another? She was very thin, they claimed she is a very hard keeper but none of their horses were very hefty. I don't understand why people are so negative toward my beloved Appy I realize they are not the breed for everyone but that does not give you the right to breed bash. That's my opinion on the matter anyway, I would never own another breed (well except for my sons Shetland pony lol) But anyway I will get some new pics of her soon and maybe I will find some other Appaloosa to get together with and have some spotted fun. Happy trail until next time, get spotted!
